The concept of an integrated amplifier that embodies the same ethos, musical and sonic qualities as Gryphon Audio Designs’ most esoteric offerings, but at a fraction of the cost, is clearly an attractive proposition and through the single-minded dedication of the Gryphon team, the integrated amplifier has come of age as a serious, respected High End component, bringing legendary Gryphon performance and styling to a new level of affordable cost and ease of use.

Gryphon’s Space Mission
As every component in the audio playback chain is relentlessly improved, the listening room has become “The Final Frontier” in the quest for perfect sound. Gryphon’s mission was to develop a compact, visually stunning loudspeaker specifically designed to achieve Full-Range High-End performance in small spaces which are typically inhospitable to ultimate audio performance.
Our answer to this challenge is EOS 2, a state-of-the-art loudspeaker conceived from its inception to bring state-of-the-art sonics to small, acoustically challenging rooms.
VPI unfortunately lost their VPI Grandma, Shirley Green who has been with the company since the beginning. The mother of VPI founder Sheila Weisfeld was initially helping her daughter and her husband Harry in the VPI office which ended up being her new career. Sheila and Shirley were the heroes of the VPI office. Shirley was low maintenance, strong, and got the job done. This is why VPI named their new entry level Moving Magnet cartridge after her.
